Product Description

 

 

Ordinary Portland cement is a hydraulic cementitious material made of Portland cement clinker, 5%-20% mixed material and an appropriate amount of gypsum ground fine. It has the characteristics of high strength, high hydration heat, good frost resistance, dry shrinkage, good wear resistance, good carbonization resistance, poor corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance.

 

Cement Characteristics

 

 

● High strength

Ordinary Portland cement hydration reaction speed is fast, early and late strength are high. Use cast-in-place concrete floors, beams, columns, precast concrete components. It can also be used for prestressed concrete structures, high strength concrete projects.

 

● High hydration heat and good freezing resistance

Because the hydration reaction rate of ordinary Portland cement is fast, the content of tricalcium silicate and dicalcium silicate is high, therefore, the hydration heat is large, which is conducive to winter construction. However, due to the large heat of hydration, in the construction of large-scale concrete projects (generally refers to the length, width and height of more than 1m, it is easy to gather large heat inside the concrete members, resulting in internal and external temperature stress difference, resulting in the destruction of concrete, therefore, it is not suitable for large-scale concrete projects. Ordinary Portland cement structure is dense and has good frost resistance. It is suitable for projects that suffer from repeated freezing and thawing in severe cold areas and projects with high frost resistance requirements, such as dam overflow surface and concrete pavement projects.

 

● Dry shrinkage, good wear resistance

Ordinary Portland cement dry shrinkage when hardening, not easy to produce dry shrinkage cracks. Can be used in dry environment engineering. Due to dry shrinkage, the surface is not easy to powder, so the wear resistance is good, can be used in road engineering.

 

● Good carbonization resistance

After the ordinary Portland cement is hydrated, the cement stone contains more calcium hydroxide, the alkalinity of the cement decreases less during carbonization, and the protective effect of the steel bar is strong, which can be used in the environment with a high concentration of carbon dioxide in the air, such as heat treatment workshops.

 

● Poor corrosion resistance

Ordinary Portland cement after hydration, contains a lot of calcium hydroxide and calcium aluminate hydrate, therefore, its soft water resistance and chemical corrosion resistance is poor, can not be used for harbor engineering, sulfate resistance project.

 

● High temperature intolerance

When the cement stone is at a temperature higher than 250-300 degrees Celsius, the hydrated calcium silicate in the cement stone begins to dehydrate, and the calcium hydroxide will decompose into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide at more than 600 degrees Celsius. When the cement stone is wet after high temperature, the generated calcium oxide will interact with water and expand the volume, resulting in the destruction of the cement stone. Ordinary Portland cement is not suitable for concrete works with temperatures higher than 250 degrees Celsius, such as industrial kilns and high-temperature furnace foundations.

 

Basic Performance

 

 

A. Fast setting and hardening, high early strength and late strength, suitable for concrete with early strength requirements, winter construction concrete, high strength concrete and prestressed concrete projects of important above-ground and underground structures.

B. Good frost resistance, suitable for concrete projects that suffer repeated freeze-thaw cycles within the range of water level rise and fall in cold areas.

C. Hydration heat is large, not suitable for mass concrete projects, but can be used for low temperature season or winter construction.

D. Poor corrosion resistance, should not be used for projects that are often in contact with corrosive media such as flowing fresh water or sulfate, and should not be used for projects that are often in contact with corrosive media such as seawater and mineral water.

E. Poor heat resistance, not suitable for concrete projects with heat resistance requirements.

F. Good carbonization resistance, suitable for environments with high CO2 concentration in the air, such as casting workshops.

G. Dry reduction, can be used in dry environment of concrete engineering.

H. Good wear resistance, can be used for road and ground engineering.
